E-counselling process starts for admission in IIMC, Check the Registration process

The e-counselling process has started for admission to five PG diploma courses in the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), the country’s most prestigious media education institute. Students should register for e-counselling at iimc.admissions.nic.in. For this, general category students will have to deposit Rs 1,500 and other category students will have to deposit Rs 1,000 online fee. The first merit list in this process conducted for the academic session 2024-25 will be declared on May 11.

Dean (Academic) of IIMC, Prof. According to Govind Singh, like last year, this year also students are being admitted through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET PG) 2024 for admission to PG Diploma in English Journalism, Hindi Journalism, Advertising. And Public Relations, Radio and Television Journalism and Digital Media, students will have to participate in the e-counselling process. The new academic session will start from 5 August 2024.

Eligibility:

  • You must appeared for CUET PG 2024 exam and obtain the qualifying marks.
  • You must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.

Courses offered:

  • PG Diploma in English Journalism
  • PG Diploma in Hindi Journalism
  • PG Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations
  • PG Diploma in Radio and Television Journalism
  • PG Diploma in Digital Media

E-counselling Registration process:

  1. Visit the official IIMC e-counselling portal: https://iimc.admissions.nic.in/
  2. The registration window is open for a limited time, so register early.
  3. During registration, you have to provide details like your CUET PG Roll Number, Application Number and personal information.
  4. You must have a scanned copy of your mark sheet and other required documents for uploading.

Admission in-charge and controller of examination Prof. Rakesh Kumar Goswami said that students should read their preferences for courses and campuses carefully while filling the registration form. Any request for change in preferences after submission of registration form will not be entertained.

Once the course selection is finalized, students will have to pay Rs 20,000 in advance as tuition fees to secure their seat in the preferred course. The balance amount must be paid within the stipulated date and time to complete the admission process.

According to Goswami, it is mandatory for every candidate to submit high school certificate and graduation mark sheet for verification of date of birth. Candidates waiting for Graduation Result must submit their required documents within the prescribed date and time. If reserved category candidates are not able to submit the caste certificate, then they can submit the caste certificate within the prescribed date and time by giving an affidavit at the time of admission.
